L-N Electrical Services carry out a variety of Electrical Testing works, ranging from Portable Appliance Testing (PAT TEST), Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Reports (DEICR), Electrical installation Condition Reports (EICR), Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Tests.
All electrical work we carry out is fully inspected and tested to the current edition of BS7671 and certified on completion. Every Electrical Installation should be tested to ensure it stays safe and compliant with the current edition of the wiring regulations. We are on the Private Rental Sector register so landlords are assured we are qualified and insured to do the testing we offer. The regulations came into force on 1 June 2020, they apply to new tenancies from 1 July 2020 and existing tenancies from 1 April 2021. The relevant date for determining when the new requirements apply is the date on which the tenancy is granted. A new tenancy is one that was granted on or after 1 June 2020.
These new Regulations require landlords to have the electrical installations in their properties inspected and tested by a person who is qualified and competent, at least every 5 years. Landlords have to provide a copy of the electrical safety report to their tenants, and to their local authority if requested.
Fire Alarms & Emergency lighting should be inspected and tested every 6 months. We can set up a continued service to ensure you never miss the required inspection dates.
